SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 27 (KNO) : A team of Food Safety Officers today destroyed 10 quintals of milk and lifted 16 samples at Parimpora after failing a preliminary on spot test conducted by mobile food testing lab. The team headed by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Srinagar also found 50 containers which were rusted inside were also destroyed. The milkmen were directed to ferry milk only in food grade containers otherwise strict action under FSS Act shall be initiated against them. Meanwhile, Food Safety wing of Drugs and Food Control Organization prepared 25 challans against various Food Business Operators for manufacturing and selling substandard an is branded food articles.(KNO)
